In the commercials, OLAY prides itself on introducing the most value for money products. It even claims it’s better than the world’s most expensive creams and promises to deliver results better than invasive surgical procedures. Who isn’t tempted after all that?
I recently got myself a tub of regenerist cream to see if they’ve truly improved after all these years. I remember during secondary school (high school), we were introduced the first lessons of skincare by OLAY. They came to the school and gave samples, so that was the first brand of skincare I used. I usually have clear skin, but after using the moisturisers and toners, I remember getting pimples. At that time, I blamed it on puberty. I stopped using after the samples and tried some other brand.
I’ve tested it a few times now and I always wake up with small pimples with pus. I don’t understand why. That aside, it promises to reduce the appearance of deep lines and minimises the appearance of pores. I don’t know about the pores part, but I tend to arch my eyebrows up a lot, so i have a lot of lines on my forehead. This product hasn’t helped at all.
I prefer the Estee Lauder Wrinkle cream. Overall, I find Olay a very good moisturiser, if you apply it at night, you get really good results in the morning even if you slept in air-conditioned environment. It makes your skin really supple and soft. So yes, I will continue using it for its moisturising properties, but if you’re looking for a wrinkle cream, forget this one.

This is one of the cheapest and most convenient way of getting your hair coloured! No fuss. I’ve seen it on the commercials, so tried this on my sister and it works.
Kao Liese is basically like shampooing your hair, except at the end of it, you get a different colour. My sister commented that her usually smooth hair has become much dryer lately, even with extra treatment and conditioning.
So I’m guessing we shouldn’t do this too frequently, but compared to most DIY Kits, this should be the easiest and the most fun to start with!

We all want to be germ-free and what tempted us to buy Dettol are the ‘Dettol gets rid of 99% germs’ commercials!
So my house is filled with Dettol products, from detergents to floor cleansers to sprays and soaps. It makes me feel that the house is CLEAN…
I was so into Dettol, I tried the body wash, two different types. A disappointment it is, makes my skin very dry, smells okay, but it doesn’t come up to a rich foam. So my conclusion? Use Dettol for house cleaning, not body cleaning.

They say it’s a miracle water. Originates from Japan, some story about a woman soaking her hands in rice water all day long and it got more and more youthful. You couldn’t have not been tempted, the commercials, god they make SK-II sound like THE only thing you need.
I have slightly tanned skin, but really thin skin. This product was may be too strong for me. It made my skin extremely dry after application and I don’t feel it did any good to blemishes or have any whitening effect.
Not particularly in favour of the smell of the product, it smells like eggs in water turned bad. May be a natural scent, but really puts me off. Overall, I wouldn’t spend money on another bottle.
