Lately, I read an article on Botox and it got me thinking. The article wrote about how Botox can help you lose your wrinkles and your friends. Britain’s The Times reported that women who use Botox are sending the wrong social signals because their frozen facial muscles make it difficult for them to express the normal range of emotions. We don’t’ know how true is that, but if we’re only thinking about the physical beauty Botox can help transform our lives, that’s only a positive social impact, surface.
Whilst being obsessed about anti-aging, some of us have truly forgotten the negative social impact. What if we’re not able to frown, look angry and sad and struggle to show empathy? You lose that personal touch, you become cold, would Botox be worth it then? Other than that, I’ve seen many people spend crazy amounts of money doing Botox. Some of them even buy themselves tickets to Taiwan and Korea to do it, they say they’re more experienced there. Of course, some came back looking gorgeous, but there are those who came back regretting. Those who never looked prettier, became more and more obsessed with their looks and became more trusting on cosmetic surgery.
Think, think and think before you do it! Also think of the notion of ‘Aging gracefully’ and if you still need to do it, do a million times of research.
Looking for a good value body moisturiser? You can try St. Ives Collagen Elastin formula. Very rich, and easy to apply, leaves skin soft and smooth quickly.
Very affordable, you can get the 532ml bottle. I love this and use this as a massage cream for my husband, occasionally as a hand cream. It smells delicious, like a watermelon flavoured cream. Some fragrance dont’ linger around, but this does…. so you smell fresh all day long.
If you’ve extremely dry skin, try this product. I came back from icy Korea, skin all crumpy-like dried prunes, a few days of this moisturiser and I’m back to old supple skin. Although it says collagen, I doubt it helps stretchmarks. Only recommended as a good moisturiser.

Ever wondered why Asian women’s skin is so flawless? It is not just the catwalk crew or those in showbiz. If you walk on the streets in the city centre in Korea for example, 80% of young, dressed up women look fabulous, even older women they call ah ju ma… some say it’s because of their 7 layers of makeup, some say it’s because they drink ginseng all year round.
I was recently in Korea and let me tell ya something, Seoul is a fashion and beauty city. Everyone was dressed really pretty and nicely dolled up from face to toes. You know The Face Shop? I never thought much of that shop until I bought and discovered this excellent product.
BB creams are really popular now, but if you like a sweet berry smell, an extremely light and smooth foundation-like cream base, then please try the PURE BERRY BB Cream, SPF 20 to keep your face protected. It comes in one size, 40ml, so it’s lightweight and easy to carry around. This product has been like a cream that freshens in the morning, a concealer that hides little flaws and helps give a glow to the face and smooths out the uneven complexion. And it’s not an expensive cream. I bought it for 4.95USD equivalent. What a great way to look good, smell good all day. BB cream must be part of their secret beauty routine for the Koreans at least.
