I have recently got my hands on some ginseng powder, costs me a fortune. Rather than mixing it to a ginseng drink, I made a mask out of it. Ingredients are:
- two tea-spoons of ginseng powder,
- crushed almond nuts powder, and
- just a bit of milk
You can use water if you like, I’ve tried it, same result. The almond part is a little hassle to prepare, you can also do without.
Apply the mixture over your face, let it cool, it will dry up. I turn up the air conditioner to speed this process up, once it dries, go to the sink, massage the residue all over your face and neck, then rinse off. No further cleansing is necessary, sleep through the night and you wake up with a fresh smooth face.
I highly recommend this for acne victims, the properties of ginseng helps to cool it down and prevent it from worsening. Would be best if you can prepare the mixture a few hours before application and apply it straight from the fridge later on.

Why do some women look so good even in their 50s? Lots of collagen, exercise and tonics? Loreal has just introduced the Age Re-perfect Pro-Calcium Range, specially customised for matured skin 50 years and above to regain firmness and tone. I have not given this a try yet, but isn’t this a little too late if you haven’t started any beauty routine yet? Whatever promise it gives, to re-perfect skin that’s 50 years and above, you cannot be totally taken in.
It takes good maintenance like sleep, lots of collagen, exercise, bird nest and a consistent usage of a 3-step skincare routine from when you’re 15! I do agree though as you age, you will need a more and more powerful eye cream and if I were you, I will invest in the de-crinkling eye and lip contours treatment tube that costs slightly more than the day & night creams. Point is, I think this is a good upgrade from your current range if you’ve always good maintenance, but don’t’ expect miracles if you haven’t been hardworking all your life and expect this to transform your face.
My grandma tried the moisturiser and she has commented that it’s just like any moisturiser, although for the de-crinkling tube, she sees better visible results.

You saw the adverts of Laneige and Bio-essence on television. Not too long ago, everyone was going crazy over facial masks, those that comes in a sheet… it seems that the creamy type has gone obsolete.
Cosmetic giants are constantly thinking of ways to make their products useful 24/7 and some of them pioneers have already introduced the sleeping mask, one that you don’t have to wash off, it comes in a translucent liquid and you leave it on your face overnight.
Well, recently, I tried the Bio-Essence one (Hydra Spa Energy). Not great. When it gets dryer on the face, it becomes lumpy and it leaves a mess on your pillow. Not much to sacrifice if you’ve great results the next day, but it really doesn’t make a difference for me, at least. I still prefer a good old moisturiser. Overall, will not be tempted to try on any liquid sleeping mask.

Ever had a foundation problem? Either they’re too cakey or thick, or just unnatural? Is it a colour problem or just that I haven’t found the right one?
Where it comes to liquid foundation those thick ones are definitely not for me, I prefer the lighter ones. I thought i found a perfect foundation when I tried BOURJOIS 10 hr sleep effect foundation. The thing is… it doesn’t last… 10hr sleep effect, definitely not. I just like it cause it’s easy to apply, very light and smells good.
If you have a good recommendation, let me know. I still haven’t found my perfect one I guess!
